Kelly Clarkson tutorial 2.
Make this: 
Using psp9
I dont believe it's beginner friendly? More
than a few steps. Not hard at all though.
Making this icon:
- Starting with this picture.
- Crop it down and resize. Make two copies of your base, each in a different posistion like so:

& 
- Try and make the picture on the second base on the opposite side of the image.
- Paste the second base ontop of the first.
- Lower the opacity of that layer for a moment and erase as much as you can that is covering the base layer.
- After you've finished erasing, desaturate the second layer.
- Now, we're going to make each image a bit darker.
- Select the base layer, and then automatic contrast enhancement.

(Enhance photo - automatic contrast enhancement)
- Do the same to the second layer.

What I have right now.

Paste this ontop of all the layers, between the two images. Set it to screen at 100%
- Viola. Your finished product.
